New Century Park (Shorts Road)

About The Park
The old Shorts Road Recreation Park was re-generated to form New Century Park. Originally this park was farm land, then it became a sand extraction pit during World War I, then a refuse tip until the 1960's when the Council obtained the land and capped it off. A £50,000 grant from the Onyx Environmental Trust was used in paying for the re-generation.
What's At The Park
For the children there are swings, a roundabout. For the Adults there is a 'trim trail' which contains a range of apparatus to test the muscles of many a resident!
How To Get There
New Century Park is located next to the Parish Council offices in Shorts Road, and also borders Campbell Way.
